Butterflies remind me about being adaptable and willing to accept change. I have allowed myself to learn many different specialties as a nurse over the last 30 years. Changing specialty areas in nursing is similar to returning to school and often takes a good 2 years in that new area to become seasoned. Each specialty area of nursing is a science within itself. The learning curves with each change were very challenging and empowering. It allowed for much professional and personal growth with each change.

I have been blessed with very good mentors and colleagues that I still keep in touch with. Being a nurse has been a vibrant, rewarding journey for me. Believing you can do anything you set your mind to, and feeling empowered by change can be such a bright Energy Source.
